About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineering Programme Manager to lead the TIQUILA Capability Integration Cycle (CIC) with 75% focus on engineering leadership, 15% on programme management, and 10% on team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end engineering process for the CIC, from concept to deployment, ensuring all technical, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
  • Programme Management: Manage the strategic direction of the CIC, aligning with UK Government and MOD goals to maximise scope and deliver high-impact results.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a diverse, high-performing team, ensuring the CIC is appropriately resourced and that staff are motivated and aligned with programme objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and expand a mature network within MOD and global partners, leveraging these relationships to accelerate the CIC's delivery and impact.
  • Strategic Innovation: Drive the development of new capabilities that address emerging threats, ensuring the TIQUILA programme remains at the forefront of defence technology.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in leading complex engineering programmes, particularly within MOD or similar defence environments.
  • Proven track record in technology insertion, system integration, and managing large-scale, cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth understanding of MOD processes, military UAS programmes, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
