Job Title: Senior Technical Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our Transactional Tendering team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our customers, ensuring that their project requirements are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers, including understanding their project requirements, influencing product choice and delivery method, and creating accurate quotations.
  2. Commercial Awareness: Develop commercial awareness to ensure that actions taken are appropriate and aligned with business objectives.
  3. Risk Analysis: Perform simple risk analysis to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  4. Project Management: Identify and drive simple projects to improve/enhance the function and value add of the Tendering Team, with support from Advanced and Senior Tendering Engineers/Tendering Manager.
  5. Quality Control: Achieve a quality control target of 95% audit pass rate annually.
  6. Quoting: Quoting for complex projects and solutions, including experience with low voltage products/systems.
  7. Training and Development: Assist in the upskill of lower levels within the team by providing training on more complex projects and maintaining training documentation.
  8. Industry Knowledge: Some knowledge of the Electrical Distribution industry and market would be beneficial, but not essential.
  9. Education and Qualifications: Engineering or business higher qualification preferred, but not essential if technical competency can be demonstrated.
