Job Title: EAL Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Old Trafford, Stretford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in the English department and helping students who require additional language support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the English department to identify students who may benefit from additional language support
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with language barriers, helping them to catch up with their peers
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of EAL students
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and language levels
  • Desirable: additional language skills, such as Arabic or Urdu
