Seeking a Nutrition Specialist Teacher to join Buckinghamshire Council's dedicated team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food education and a passion for teaching students with moderate learning difficulties.

The successful candidate will inspire and motivate young people to develop their practical skills in choosing and preparing food, enabling them to make informed decisions about their physical and mental health.

The role involves teaching students within the school, promoting a wide range of teaching and learning styles to cater to all abilities. The successful candidate will also contribute to the whole school cycles of assessment, recording, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Food Technology subject area.
  2. Provide high-quality teaching and act as a role model for colleagues.
  3. Keep up-to-date with developments in the subject and maintain a current scheme of work.
  4. Monitor, assess, and record student progress.

About You:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient individual with Qualified Teacher Status and specialist subject knowledge in Home Economics or Food Technology. Previous experience as a teacher is essential, and you should be able to teach a secondary subject in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Design and Technology, or Art and Design.

The salary for this position is estimated at £36,040-£48,256 per annum, depending on experience, plus a SEN Allowance of £2,679.
