About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to lead our mental health services in Exmouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of our services, ensuring the effective delivery of quality housing and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and evaluate local and service-specific procedures to ensure best practice in service management.
  • Conduct regular audits of service records, including CDPSoft, Universal Housing, client files, and Health & Safety records, and take necessary action to address any issues or concerns.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead the induction of line-managed staff, ensuring ongoing training needs are identified and implemented.
  • Allocate client caseloads fairly and consistently, and ensure coverage in the absence of a Mental Health Support Worker.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the services, maintaining effective administration and communication systems.

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or similar, or a willingness to work towards.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower others.
  • Proven experience of managing a team, including recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisals.
  • Strong relationships-building skills and high resilience.
  • Able to take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills and strengths.
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with individuals with complex mental health needs.
