Job Description

Job Title: Qualified Social Worker

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join our team at Knowsley Council. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service to vulnerable adults, providing strength-based assessments and support planning to maximize independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a quality service through strength-based assessment, taking into account maximizing independence.
  • Have some experience of Care Act Assessment, and support planning, be able to confidently complete capacity and best interests assessments as well as safeguarding.
  • Must be flexible and support the office duty work.
  • Must be a team player as well as support colleagues when needed.
  • Must provide the positive assessment and planning of individual packages of care for service users and carers.
  • Must provide Social Work to support Service Users and Carers.
  • Must ensure that all work is carried out in line with the appropriate guidelines, policy and procedures.
  • Must promote the independence and well-being of adults of working age and/or older people; to assist social inclusion and valued community presence and to enable the widest possible expression of chosen lifestyle.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England registered
  • Enhanced DBS
