Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our Wastewater Production team at United Utilities. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our wastewater assets.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, as you will work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to diagnose and resolve technical issues. You will also contribute to capital and operational projects, providing input on asset requirements and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement an effective M/E/I maintenance and installation service
- Analyse faults, rectify, and ensure correct operation of equipment
- Perform planned and proactive maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies
- Maintain financial control of budgets
- Provide reliable asset performance and repair information
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
To be successful in this role, you must have a time served apprenticeship or equivalent, supported by academic qualifications (HNC or ONC) in a relevant technical area. A valid driving licence and experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems are essential.
