Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity to join Motorola Solutions as a CNC Machinist, working on-site at our offices. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup
- Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming as per specifications.
- Programming
- Develop CNC programs using CAM software and/or G-code (preferably Fanuc) for machining operations.
- Operation
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Quality Control
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshooting
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools.
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production runs.
- Safety
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to achieve production goals.
- Continuous Improvement
- Suggest and implement improvements in machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Keen attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during machine operation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
- Stamina to stand for extended periods during machine operation.
