Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity to join Motorola Solutions as a CNC Machinist, working on-site at our offices. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup
    • Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming as per specifications.
  • Programming
    • Develop CNC programs using CAM software and/or G-code (preferably Fanuc) for machining operations.
  • Operation
    • Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Quality Control
    • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Troubleshooting
    • Identify and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production runs.
  • Safety
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineering and production teams to achieve production goals.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Suggest and implement improvements in machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
    • Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Keen attention to detail and precision in executing machining tasks.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during machine operation.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
    • Stamina to stand for extended periods during machine operation.
