Job Title: Carpentry Lecturer

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £27,500 - £40,369 per annum

Contract: Full time, Permanent

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Lecturer/Trainer to join our team at a leading FE College in West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering Carpentry courses to a wide range of learners, in both practical and theoretical settings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Training: Deliver high-quality Carpentry courses to learners, ensuring they meet the required standards and outcomes.
  • Course Development: Contribute to the development of new Carpentry courses and programs, ensuring they are relevant and effective.
  • Tutorial Support: Provide one-to-one support to learners, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Administrative Tasks: Carry out administrative tasks associated with the post, including marking, reporting, and record-keeping.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A UK Teaching Qualification or a willingness to work towards one, a relevant Assessors Award (A1, V1 IQA or equivalent), and a minimum Level 3 Vocational Qualification within Carpentry.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching the subject, whether within Education or in the sector, and a C/Level 2 in Maths and English.
