An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Support Analyst within our Finance Division.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial finance team, taking on significant responsibilities for generating commercial reports and delivering insights to senior and operational management. You will also serve as a liaison for both Operational and Senior Management, applying a commercial perspective to ensure that valuable insights are consistently provided to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the creation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for your designated area, ensuring timely delivery to senior management and operations. Guarantee the precision of reports presented to senior stakeholders. Collaborate closely with the operations team to deliver essential support and analysis regarding business KPIs. Exhibit a robust commercial understanding of fundamental business KPIs and communicate strategies for enhancement. Document weekly actions and provide vital assistance to the commercial analyst and finance manager. Organize weekly and monthly meetings. Support the month-end review of site-specific profit and loss statements to ensure accuracy. Draft initial versions of quarterly and annual budgets for each site, offering commentary on variances between actuals and budgeted figures in collaboration with the finance support services and operational teams. Contribute to the monthly board pack presentation. Deliver commercial insights to the Fuel Pricing and Convenience Retail teams. Conduct return on investment (ROI) analyses for all investments. Review and prepare monthly repair and maintenance reports and analyses. Provide concise, clear, and timely business updates to the Commercial Finance Manager and other senior management, ensuring that key issues are escalated promptly. Engage in other ad-hoc projects as required.

Candidate Profile

Part-qualified accountant - AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA. Strong communicator with the confidence to discuss financial data with senior finance personnel. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Demonstrated commercial finance and business acumen. Analytical, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
