About the Role
Perrys Vauxhall Canterbury is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team. As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and executing health and safety duties to departments, visitors, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute health and safety duties to departments, visitors, and contractors.
- Work with the internal Procurement team to source appropriate PPE.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is allocated to employees and is worn in designated areas by all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
- Investigate accidents or incidents.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
- Provide safety documentation for customers and complete external safety audit requests to legal requirements.
- Undertake any other duties to support the needs of the business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a H&S position.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide variety of contacts.
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
