Job Description

The Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist will oversee the day-to-day internal and external administration of multi-state U.S. & Canada based employee benefits. This includes managing plans such as Healthcare, Life AD&D, Disability, worker's compensation, leave administration (FMLA), 401(k) and various ancillary and voluntary products. The successful candidate will also participate in designing and administering future benefit offerings, including Wellness programs.

This role requires strong communication skills to interact with HR Representatives, functional leaders and staff to respond to employee questions, resolve problems and effectively communicate an understanding of the organization's benefits and policies. Collaboration with external benefit vendors and consultants on plan design, administration and service needs is also essential. Additionally, working closely with Human Resources, Finance and Payroll teams to manage and audit benefit enrollment and payroll deduction information is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage annual open enrollment processes, including communications, education, vendor changes and system setup.
  • Assist with day-to-day employee communications and web-based administrative tools.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to ensure effective departmental efficiency and compliance with federal, state and local laws related to health and welfare benefits and Leave of Absence.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Benefits certification is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are necessary.
  • M&A experience is a plus.
  • ADP WorkForceNow experience is also desirable.
  • Knowledge of Canadian benefits is a bonus, but not required.
Estimated Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
