Opportunity

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and fostering strong relationships with our suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Meticulously process invoices, verifying all necessary documentation and approvals for accuracy.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct coding and classification.
  • Manage the setup of new supplier accounts, confirming payment details and maintaining accurate records.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments to address invoice-related matters efficiently.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs, process payments through the online banking system, and accurately record all transactions in the cashbook.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
  • Provide support to the wider finance team in various ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working within an accounts payable team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence to challenge and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Intermediate / advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
