Job Description

The role of a Clinical Research Associate Specialist is to oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical trials. This involves collaborating with international teams to establish and run trial sites in both English and French speaking countries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing site capabilities, patient numbers, and feasibility
  • Establishing trial sites in partnership with UCL's MRC-CTU, including logistics and clinical training
  • Writing key trial documents such as protocols, clinical SOPs, CRFs, ethics, and regulatory submissions
  • Negotiating with antivenom manufacturers regarding access to trial IMP
  • Oversighting trial activity at each site, including regular supervisory visits

Purpose of the Role

This role is crucial in ensuring the success of clinical trials in rural African settings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in clinical research and contribute to the delivery of major international clinical trials.
