The successful candidate will work closely with our Enrichment Operations, Site Services, Engineering Services, and Chemical Process Operations teams to provide specialized DGSA, transport planning, and execution services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice on operational and regulatory aspects of radioactive materials and dangerous goods transports
  • Managing updates of Company procedures and transport compliance matrices
  • Coordinating the use of Cylinder Related equipment and other equipment used in connection with the transport of Dangerous Goods
  • Acting as the main point of contact for transport proposals with UEC and/or external transport companies
  • Evaluating and authorising documentation required for national and international radioactive materials and dangerous goods transports
Requirements:
  • Qualified as a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor
  • Previous experience working within a highly regulated industry such as Chemical, Oil and Gas, or Nuclear
  • Must hold recognised transport qualifications to consign radioactive materials and dangerous goods by road, sea, and air and revalidate the qualifications as required
  • Highly proficient in the use of SAP, Excel, and other relevant software
  • Excellent understanding of plant and transport operations with a broader understanding of Company and Group-wide processes and organisational roles, typically gained through several years of experience

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum
