Obesity Management Specialist

About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Obesity Management Specialist to join our dynamic team at ABL Health Ltd. As an Obesity Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering specialist weight management services to adults.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and delivering motivational change that is client-centered. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including GPs and Psychotherapists, to provide comprehensive care plans for our clients.
The salary for this position is £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tailored weight management programmes for adults, incorporating nutrition, behaviour change, and exercise delivery.
- Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care plans for clients.
- Assess and support eligible clients to receive a referral to tier 4 for bariatric surgery, adhering to NICE guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all necessary documentation is completed correctly.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in accredited Nutrition course (RfN, AfN membership) and/or Sport Science / Physical Activity.
- REPs Level 3 Registration (REPS Level 4 desirable) and/or Member of CIMSPA at Practitioner level.
- Registration with CIMSPA (this can be obtained within 6 months of employment).
