Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to administer online assessments and questionnaires in schools across Scotland as part of the Pearson PIRLS 2026 field trial.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with school coordinators and headteachers to arrange test day logistics, including room bookings and IT access.
  2. Evaluate computer availability for all pupils on assessment day.
  3. Ensure assigned pupils complete their online assessments.
  4. Administer assessments and questionnaires in accordance with international standards, maintaining security at all times.
  5. Manage session timing, recording start and end times.
  6. Record pupil participation and complete administrative paperwork as outlined in training.
  7. Return completed documents to Pearson following the assessment.
  8. Remind schools to complete teacher, school, and parent/guardian questionnaires by the test date.
Requirements
  • Previous teaching or classroom experience is essential.
  • Proficient in using IT applications.
Working Conditions

This role requires working Monday to Friday from 10 March to 4 April 2025. Arrival time is typically 08:00, and finish time is around 13:00. Travel to schools may be required; car ownership and driving license are necessary. A current Scottish PVG scheme certificate is also required for working with children.

Estimated Salary Range:

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
