About the Role:

Deloitte LLP is seeking an experienced Pension Actuary Manager to join our rapidly growing Actuarial, Pensions and Rewards Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to trustees and corporate sponsors of pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently test pensions liability calculations and benchmark proposed assumptions for corporate accounts.
  • Investigate and challenge actuarial assumptions and methodologies used by corporate actuarial advisors.
  • Prepare and review audit documentation.
  • Present findings to Deloitte Audit teams, corporate pension managers, financial controllers, finance directors, and/or audit committees.
  • Work on wider pensions, reward, HR, and analytics projects from time to time.


Requirements:

We are looking for a qualified Actuary with experience in delivering defined benefit pension work streams or projects, either in a consulting or in-house environment. You should have excellent facilitation and communication skills, experience in managing client relationships, solid team leadership experience, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of coding software (e.g., VBA, R, and/or Python) is desirable but not essential.
