We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at SSE. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating multiple live smart grid projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to support the design, implementation, and testing of active control systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical power engineering and serve as a key point of contact and knowledge leader in your field.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant STEM discipline, such as electrical engineering or computer science.
  • Professionally registered or working towards professional registration with relevant engineering institutions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SCADA/distributed control systems engineering.
  • A project management qualification, such as APM or PRINCE2, would be advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and inform opinion.
  • Knowledge of the principles of electrical power engineering.
