We are working with a primary school in Harrow that caters to their SEND children graciously, and intently. The school is looking for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to assist their children with across the school, and they are looking for the Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to assist the pupil's learning, and academic and social-emotional progression.

Job Summary
  • Initial 1-Year contract for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant commencing imminently, and lasting until July 2025
  • Work Monday - Friday, 8:30 am- 4:00 pm
  • £480-£510 per week | Paid PAYE

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

A Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will be providing classroom support to 4-11 year-olds with various needs Autism Spectrum Condition, Speech and Communication Difficulties, and ADHD and other needs.

  • Planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups of students will be a priority for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development and reporting findings back to the SEND Team is essential.
  • Building core skills and supporting a strong knowledge base through a tailored approach to the individual needs of the pupils.
  • Working within a high staff-to-pupil ratio to enable an individualized approach to learning.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, carers and family.
  • Working with CAMHS, the School Nursing Service and Early Help and Social Care teams.
