Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. Our Special School provides top-tier education for children and young people with Autism, Downs Syndrome, Learning Difficulties, Global Learning Delay, and Complex Needs.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with education staff and the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a holistic service to children with sensory impairments. They will utilise comprehensive assessments to form diagnoses and plan interventions, delivering SLT interventions at school, home, or clinic as needed.
Liaising with families to clarify roles, provide knowledge, and support parents in understanding and aiding their child's communication needs is also a key responsibility. The Speech and Language Therapist will engage in ongoing CPD, with access to a protected training budget, and contribute to training programs for families and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a caseload of children with complex developmental speech and language disorders, learning difficulties, and sensory impairments.
- Work collaboratively with education staff and the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a holistic service to children with sensory impairments.
- Utilise comprehensive assessments to form diagnoses and plan interventions.
- Liaise with families to clarify roles, provide knowledge, and support parents in understanding and aiding their child's communication needs.
- Engage in ongoing CPD, with access to a protected training budget, and contribute to training programs for families and staff.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy, HCPC registered, and member of RCSLT.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
