Job Title: Senior Full Stack Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. As a key member of our Scrum team, you will play a major role in developing data-driven applications that transform the way brands and retailers assess their supply chains and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, robust, and scalable web applications and event-driven applications using Java, Ruby, Node.js, ReactJS, and Apache Kafka.
  • Collaborate with our global product development teams to ensure projects are completed on time and of high quality.
  • Conduct code reviews with team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Write and run unit test cases to ensure the quality of the code.
  • Attend all Scrum events and collaborate with the team globally.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development.
  • Hands-on experience in web front-end development with React JS and knowledge of pure HTML5/CSS/JS design.
  • Hands-on experience in web back-end development with Java/Node.js, with an added advantage of familiarity with the Ruby on Rails framework.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful services and API design, and a solid understanding of web stacks.
  • Strong knowledge of event-driven applications design and event delivery pipelines, preferably with Apache Kafka.
  • Solid experience in working with SQL databases, preferably with Postgres, including but not limited to configuring database instances for read/write performance and creating high-performant queries.
  • Ability to design and implement data model (database schemas) and data pipeline to support business processes.
  • Proficient with Git (GitLab) and Docker.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Gitlab CI and Jenkins.
  • Ability to implement automated unit tests.
  • Experience of working as a part of Scrum team. Actively participate in all the Scrum events.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with GraphQL (Apollo flavour).
  • Knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of any of the cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS).
