About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join our team at a local secondary school in Eastleigh. As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for both KS3 and GCSE students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
  • Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make English literature and language studies relevant and captivating for students.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  • A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language, promoting respectful behaviour among students.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English; a master's degree is a plus.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Experience of teaching English at the secondary level is preferred.
