TikTok Security Engineering Graduate Program

Located in London, this graduate program aims to provide students with industry exposure and hands-on experience.

The Security Engineering SRE team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and performance of diverse security products across various business areas.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to deliver impactful work, contributing to solutions that support the delivery of the TikTok application, along with essential services and products on the Volcano public cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Improving service reliability and maintainability through consultation, design, and implementation
  • Automating common problems
  • Identifying SLA/SLO/SLI metrics for services and implementing tools to measure them
  • Managing large-scale Kubernetes and Linux deployments
Requirements:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree, graduating in 2025, and available to start in May or September 2025 in London
  • English proficiency
  • Experience working within Software Engineering, SRE, or DevOps environments
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering concepts (SLI/SLA/SLO/Error Budgets)
  • Security mindset
  • Fundamental systems knowledge: Networking, Filesystems, Operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Studying an Engineering or Computing degree
  • Experience working with lower-level system components (Kernel, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with the Go programming language
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
  • Knowledge of PKI and cryptography fundamentals
  • Autonomous spirit, data-driven, and results-oriented
Estimated Salary Range:

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
