Job Title: Housing Support Officer

Salary: £32,264 per annum (£25,064 basic + £7,200 for sleep-in shifts)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Housing Support Officer. The successful candidate will work with young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in Exeter, providing tailored support to help them develop essential independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality support to young people, helping them develop financial management, health, and well-being skills, and promoting community integration.
  2. Act as a role model and mentor, promoting best practices and delegating tasks effectively within your team.
  3. Maintain a positive outlook while working non-judgmentally with vulnerable youth.
  4. Monitor and document progress, ensuring safety and maximising outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their goals.
  2. Strong listening abilities, excellent written and IT skills.
  3. Experience in coaching or training is advantageous.
  4. Understanding of the challenges faced by young people today.
