Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to lead a team of OTs and STR workers across our female adult inpatient services at Laureate House in South Manchester.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the service clinically and operationally to deliver a safe, effective, and high-quality service to service users with mental health needs.

You will work collaboratively with senior colleagues and external providers to improve the quality of community services and pathways for service users.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate day-to-day adult inpatient Occupational Therapy Service delivery to ensure effective, consistent, and equitable access to Occupational Therapy services.
  2. Contribute to the development and evaluation of the Occupational therapy service within the care group and take a lead in aspects of service development.
  3. Work with Occupational Therapy Professional lead and Head of Occupational Therapy to agree strategic professional action plans and implementation.
  4. Provide Occupational Therapy advice to the MDT.
  5. Provide specialist Occupational Therapy input to the planning, development, and evaluation of clinical services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  6. Offer specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to a caseload of clients with complex needs.
  7. Contribute to the planning, development, provision, and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Services within the South Manchester and Trafford inpatient Division, as well as taking a lead in aspects of audit, standard setting, research, and development.
  8. Be responsible for the prioritization of referrals for OT and the provision of an evidence-based OT service.
