Senior Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Steel Connexions Ltd, a leading Steel Fabrication company. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in securing profitable work orders by preparing and producing accurate and detailed tenders for Structural Steel and Cladding construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and produce tenders for Structural Steel and Cladding construction projects in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work collaboratively with estimating management, production management, site management, and company directors to ensure accurate pricing and project delivery.
  • Carry out material take-offs, estimating labor, materials, and equipment costs, including MEWPs and Crane costs.
  • Liaise internally and externally to ensure accurate pricing and project delivery.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Structural Steel estimating.
  • High-level familiarity with the UK Steel industry.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work in an office-based environment.
