Job Introduction

We're seeking a skilled Craftsperson (Jointing) to join our team in Bodmin. As a jointing specialist, you'll be responsible for undertaking jointing techniques up to 66kV, including excavation, cable laying, reinstatement, and fault location on LV cables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake jointing techniques up to 66kV, including excavation, cable laying, reinstatement, and fault location on LV cables.
  • Work independently as part of a small team, making on-the-spot decisions as required and working to tight deadlines.
  • Be mobile throughout the area, undertaking standby duties as needed.
  • Study for the relevant City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering and complete TAR, including daily diary page completion and tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Grade A*-C/4-9 GCSE in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level qualification in both subjects.
  • Previous experience in underground work is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
