Sanctuary Group, a not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of communal grounds, including grass cutting, trimming hedges and weeding flower beds.

About the Role

This role involves supervisory support to the wider team, ensuring the grounds look presentable for visitors. A company van and tools will be provided, and the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining them in good working condition.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience of working within a similar role, operating gardening machinery and possessing skills such as pesticide application certification, NVQ3 in Horticulture or equivalent, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain communal grounds, including grass cutting, trimming hedges and weeding flower beds.
  • Supervise the wider team, providing guidance and support where necessary.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
  • Respond positively to customer complaints and service delivery breakdowns.
