Job Title: UX Designer

Salary:£500 per day (inside IR35)

Working Hours:Hybrid, 2 days per week

We are seeking a skilled UX Designer to contribute to the successful delivery of a government project on an initial 3-month contract.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To enhance user satisfaction by designing solutions that align with GDS design patterns.
  • To build inclusive designs, prioritizing accessibility.
  • To understand user context, including device types, interaction locations, and timing.
  • To collaborate closely with other services, such as user research, content design, and interaction design.
  • To supply user experience outcomes within an agile environment, using SCRUM and other techniques.
  • To feed lean UI design and rapid prototyping into each sprint, informing user-centric design of digital support services.
  • To embed user needs into team prototypes and documentation, working alongside the User Researcher.
  • To educate the wider team on UX design methodology and best practices, ensuring seamless integration into development.
  • To ensure design work is captured and documented for reference and continuity of project.
  • To manage prototype versions and iterate design based on research findings.
  • To collaborate with wider UX design colleagues within the agency and partner organization.
  • To produce required artefacts, including customer journey illustrations, mock-ups, prototypes, etc.
  • To review user needs and journeys each sprint.

Please note that this is a contract position.
