Director of Data Governance

Blue Pelican is seeking a seasoned Data Governance Director to lead their data function and drive business growth through data-driven insights.

About the Role

As a key member of the C-Suite, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust data governance framework, ensuring data quality and processes are aligned with the company's overall vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a data dictionary to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the growth of the data function and team, including hiring and developing talent.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply advanced analytics and insights, leveraging pricing strategies and AI solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Evolve the company's reporting capability, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and supports business decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to bring in new data science and AI capabilities, and successfully land them into commercially meaningful solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership credentials in data and analytics, with a passion for building high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of various technologies and data ecosystems.
  • Experience working with consumer data in a marketing/customer analytics environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate the commercial impact of your work.
