Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled FLT Reach Truck Driver to join our team at a well-established client in Northampton. As a Reach Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a Reach Truck to load and unload goods, as well as moving stock around the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving/Operating a Reach Truck to load and unload goods
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers using equipment provided in a safe and efficient manner
  • Moving and transporting stock into the correct areas of the warehouse
  • Loading and unloading vehicles and pallets from vehicles
  • Receiving and unpacking incoming goods and taking inventories as required
  • Organising stock for deliveries and wrapping and securing
  • Stacking and stowing pallets away
  • Adhering to Health & Safety at all times and promoting a safe working environment
  • Checking the quantity and visual quality of incoming and outgoing goods
  • Organising stock for deliveries and reporting any stock difference to Management
  • Promoting a safe work environment and reporting any safety concerns or issues to Management
  • Clearing work area of any debris and keeping the traffic routes clear of obstructions
  • Reporting faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor

Requirements:

  • Valid Reach Truck Licence
  • Experience driving/operating a Reach Truck for a minimum 1 year
  • Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as and when required
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to deadlines
  • 0 tolerance to alcohol and drugs (both will be tested before the internal assessment)
