Job Title: Mechanical Technical Author

We are seeking an experienced Technical Author to join our team at Strongfield, a leading Aerospace Company in the Greater London area. As a Mechanical Technical Author, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical publications, acceptance test procedures, and build plans for our world-leading, safety-critical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and write technical publications using engineering drawings, CAD models, and production standards.
  2. Define and specify illustration requirements to meet industry standards.
  3. Proofread documents to ensure quality standards and task deadlines are met.
  4. Utilize desktop publishing software to create visually appealing documents.
  5. Apply expertise in SGML, XML, and DITA to create complex documentation.
  6. Collaborate with aerospace engineers to develop technical content.
  7. Ensure proficiency in Simplified English and mechanical engineering principles.
  8. Develop and maintain technical documentation standards and guidelines.
