About the Role
Trafford Council is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our integrated service for children and young people with complex needs. Our team of specialists works together to provide a shared practice framework, promoting the well-being and independence of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people in developing trust and building resilience, enabling them to successfully manage the transition to independence.
- Provide care and support needs, as well as community interventions, in line with care plans and develop effective action plans with case workers and families.
- Encourage and motivate young people to become confident, resilient adults by building strong relationships, exploring opportunities, and promoting a positive permission culture.
- Improve outcomes for all young people by enabling them to have an active say in decision-making and valuing the contributions of families and carers.
Requirements
- NVQ 3 Caring for Children and Young People qualification
- Commitment to gain QCF Level 3 Diploma Health and Social Care
- 1-2 years' experience of direct working with children and young people aged 10-18 and their families or a similar environment
- Knowledge of parental support and intervention work, delivered within a model
- Flexibility, persistence, and resilience in working with families and supporting children and young people with complex behaviours
