Marine Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team, working on a wide range of marine, coastal, and inland waterway projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the design of marine structures, including quay walls, jetties, dolphins, slipways, berthing, and mooring.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop marine structures, ensuring compliance with maritime standards and guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Work effectively within a team environment, communicating technical matters with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present technical reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Chartered or near-chartered status, with a strong desire to learn and develop towards professional qualifications.
- Demonstrable technical experience in marine structure design, with a focus on buildability and buildable design.
- Proficiency in FE modeling using software such as STAAD Pro, LUSAS, or SAP 2000.
- Detailed knowledge of maritime standards, including BS6349 and PIANC.
- Experience in designing lock gates, heavy-duty pavements, breakwaters, and linkspans.
- Coastal engineering design and assessment expertise.
- Knowledge of marine geotechnics and temporary works design.
- Proficiency in engineering software, including Optimoor, Wallap, and Plaxis.
MEng Civil Engineering or equivalent degree (2:1 minimum).
