Home Instead is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Live In Carer to provide high-quality care and support to a male client in their home. As a Live In Carer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the client's quality of life, promoting their independence, and providing a safe and comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to a positive living environment, promoting the client's physical and emotional well-being.
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and continence care.
- Offer companionship, engaging in conversations, and participating in activities that bring joy to the client.
- Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a clean and tidy home.
- Accompany the client to social events, appointments, and outings, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals, including grocery shopping, to ensure the client's dietary needs are met.
- Administer medication, collecting prescriptions, and providing reminders to ensure the client's medication needs are met.
Requirements
- Live In Care experience, preferably with a focus on supporting male clients.
- Ability to treat clients and their property with dignity and respect.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Valid work authorization for the United Kingdom.
Preferred Qualifications
- Assisted living experience, preferably with a focus on supporting male clients.
- Knowledge of sports, theatre, and film, with the ability to engage in conversations and activities with the client.
- Ability to drive, with a valid driver's license.
