About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peer Mentoring Tutor to join our team at PeoplePlus. As a Peer Mentoring Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of skills, knowledge, and behaviours of our learners in a prison environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cover to small groups of prison-based learners across a range of subjects
  • Support the development of skills, knowledge, and behaviours while supporting learners with their long-term goals and aspirations
  • Ensure the appropriate training plans are in place and provide advice and guidance as required
  • Deliver high-quality courses that engage learners and help them reach their potential
  • Travel to 2 prison sites as required
Requirements
  • Level 2 Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Expertise in your field with substantial experience
  • Experience of delivering training
  • Teaching or assessing qualification desirable
  • Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners and flexibility to deliver qualifications across a variety of subjects
