Construction Manager

AA Euro Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a team on a major civil engineering project at Hinkley Point C. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the main civils package of works, comprising large reinforced concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Set standards and benchmarks for the team to follow.
- Identify quality problems and implement changes to achieve quality goals.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of quality processes and communicate them effectively within the project.
- Sequence work appropriately and apply protection measures to avoid damage to completed works.
- Manage client inspections and handover processes.
- Draft, review, and approve quality documents.
- Adopt a culture of continuous improvement and share lessons learned across projects.
- Monitor productivity and costs trends and take appropriate interventions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Deliver completion strategies and contribute to processes for ensuring all works are correctly planned.
- Monitor progress to ensure handover deadlines are met.
- Direct delivery experience with a workforce of at least 80+ operatives in a direct delivery project.
- Experience working on heavy reinforced concrete structures.
- At least 5 years of experience working in the construction industry.
- Able to deliver projects safely and to the highest quality standards.
- Trade background in carpentry, formwork, or reinforcement fixing.
- Sound understanding of reinforcement details and fixing methods.
- Familiar with formwork and falsework systems commonly used in the construction industry.
- A strong communicator with the ability to work within a team environment.
- Respects other team members across all functions and has a one-team approach.
- Presents a professional image and promotes the values of the project.
- Demonstrates commitment to work to processes.
- Seeks to minimize waste in resources and materials.
- Qualifications in Construction Management.
- SMSTS certification.
