As a Registered Nurse with Interior Health Authority, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Operating Room. This is a relief part-time opportunity until November 19, 2025, or the return of the incumbent.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing nursing care to OR patients, both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families, consulting with other healthcare providers as needed
Demonstrating continuous improvement and evidence-based practice in nursing care
Maintaining and advancing own clinical competence
Participating in designated hospital committees and approved research projects as assigned
About this location/unit:
The Operating Room Department at Kootenay Lake Hospital has two OR theatres functional Monday to Friday, performing a range of procedures including endoscopy, major obstetrics and gynecology, dental, ophthalmology, minor orthopedics, and minor general surgery. The hospital has a strong obstetrics and gynecology program supported by 24/7 on-call operating room capacity.
