About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Support Worker to join our team in Guildford. The successful candidate will provide person-centred support to adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, promoting life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision, and community access.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to promote life skills and independence in various settings.
  • Work in an outreach capacity on our community-based learning programme, Building Futures.
  • Assist learners in developing their skills and confidence in different environments.
  • Contribute to a values-based approach prioritizing the needs and well-being of learners.
Requirements
  • Good level of fitness and stamina required for this physically demanding role.
  • Professional or personal experience of learning disabilities is desirable.
  • Experience within a health and social care or educational setting is an advantage.
  • Ambition to make a positive impact on the lives of adults with learning disabilities.

Working Arrangements
  • Variable hours contract.
  • Primarily working Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm, during term time.

Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
