Audit and Accounts Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of clients and managing audits from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage audits, from planning to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare accounts for Limited companies, as well as corporation tax returns, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Lead a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management, providing exceptional client service.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness, reviewing opportunities for fee development and presenting work to Partners.
  • Confidently present work to Partners, completing files to a high standard and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients, acting as the main point of contact and delivering clear communications.
  • Provide quotes and estimate fees, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Delegate work to, and mentor new trainees, supporting their learning and development.
About the Role:

Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE with demonstrable accountancy practice experience.
  • Strong knowledge of audit and general accounting, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent work ethic, with a self-motivated and reliable approach.
  • Confident in leading, nurturing, and inspiring a team, with strong communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness, with confidence to provide suggestions to Partners.
