City Electrical Factors (CEF) is a leading, family-owned electrical wholesaler and distributor with over 70 years of success. We are expanding our dynamic UK legal department to work hand-in-hand with our award-winning US legal team.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our team in London for a hybrid role that blends in-office and remote work. As a paralegal, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with UK laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including supplier agreements and service contracts.
  • Ensuring all contracts comply with UK laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Providing invaluable support and legal advice on contract-related matters, including interpretation, enforcement, and risk management.
  • Assisting with in-house employment matters, from drafting contracts to managing employee records and ensuring compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Handling commercial property documents, such as licenses, wayleaves, and CPSEs, and supporting our property portfolio.
  • Staying ahead of legal developments in employment, commercial property, and contracts, and providing training on best practices and compliance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in employment, commercial property, or commercial contract law, with a knack for handling complex matters.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
