Purchase Ledger Clerk Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Venture Recruitment Partners. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing invoices and credit notes, and reconciling supplier statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Input invoices and credit notes onto the purchase ledger
  • Scan suppliers' invoices onto the system
  • Correct coding of invoices with the nominal code, company, and VAT code
  • Resolve any queries with suppliers
  • Reconcile suppliers' statements
  • Reconciliation of suppliers' accounts, maintaining a clean purchase ledger
  • Response to any suppliers' queries
  • Processing payment runs
Requirements:
  • Strong Purchase Ledger experience
  • Good practical understanding of VAT rules
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good organisation, teamwork, and communication skills
