Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Butcher to join our team at Sysco GB in Wigan. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of meat products, including prime steak cuts, chops, and roast joints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing meat products to supply customer orders
  • Picking orders, correctly packing and labelling meat products
  • Storing products, including goods in from suppliers and finished goods from production
  • Cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Completing documentation, including recording product temperatures and basic HACCP paperwork
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Butcher who can trim and portion various whole primal joints, with a track record of monitoring and achieving correct portion control for high-end cuts such as centre cut fillet steaks.
