Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Digital Solutions Engineer to join our team at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 2nd line technical support to end-users, acting as a liaison between 1st and 2nd line support, and responding to Service Desk calls that cannot be resolved by the 1st Line team.

The role also involves contributing to the Windows 11 Project Deployment Team as a deployment engineer, managing expensive ICT equipment, instructing ICT users in the proper and safe use of ICT equipment, and adopting a solutions-driven approach when dealing with end-users.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Windows 11 Project Deployment Team to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage and maintain ICT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and utilization.
  • Instruct users on safe and effective ICT equipment usage.
  • Develop a solutions-driven mindset to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Experience with ICT equipment configuration, testing, installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with imaging solutions and base image creation.
  • Ability to create technical documentation for new or updated systems and services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and clinical information systems used in NHS settings.
Desirable Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for various audiences.
  • Prioritization and time management skills to meet targets.

Education and Qualifications:
  • ITIL v.3 or later foundation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of health services provision.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
