Lead Maintenance Engineer

Proactive Global is seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance Engineer for a challenging role in a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, as well as leading a team of engineers to achieve excellent maintenance outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in a manufacturing setting. A formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, such as City & Guilds level 2 or NVQ level 3, is essential. Good working knowledge of automated systems and production machinery is also required.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Lead Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for setting up shifts, leading engineers on shift, and ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. They will also be involved in project-related tasks, fault-finding and repairing machinery, and improving efficiency.
