A challenging opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Construction Disputes Expert to join our client's team as a Managing Director in their Delay Analysis department. Based in London, this role involves leading the operational side of managing the business while undertaking forensic delay analysis and expert witness work.

About the Role

This is an excellent chance for current Directors with significant experience in forensic delay analysis on live projects/contracts and acting as an expert witness to take on a leadership position. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting forensic analysis in alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
  • Providing clear and impartial evidence for tribunals (ADR)
  • Managing and developing the planning and delay team
  • Controlling, managing, and reporting contractual obligations from procurement to final account
  • Determining schedules, monitoring programmes, and understanding risks
  • Writing reports that can be used in negotiations as well as formal dispute resolution procedures including adjudication, mediation, and litigation
  • Accurately assessing progress
  • Participating in business development and generating new work and clients
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a construction project planner, as well as formal disputes experience working with a claims and disputes consultancy
  • Experience testifying as an expert witness
  • Projects/clients you can bring into the business
  • The ability to produce programmes and schedules for live projects and interpret those written by third parties
  • Exceptional report writing skills
  • Leadership and management experience
