Overview

We are searching for a Marketing Communications Specialist dedicated to help our client in growth, customer retention and strengthening of reputation and appeal both within Qatar and in the broader regional market, in alignment with Qatar 2030 vision.

Job Description

This role requires a dynamic and passionate PR & Comms Specialist to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record in public relations and communications.

This role will be responsible for working with Chesamel Group and our clients on developing and executing effective communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation, build strong relationships with media and stakeholders, and promote the company's brand, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Communication Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Create Content: Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other press materials.
  • Pitch Stories: Pitch stories to media outlets and secure positive media coverage.
  • Manage Inquiries: Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews.
  • Analyse Performance: Monitor media coverage and analyse its effectiveness.
  • Maintain Digital Presence: Develop and maintain the company's online presence, including website and social media channels.
  • Write Engaging Content: Create engaging and informative content for various platforms.
  • Update Lists: Manage and update media lists and databases.
  • Assist Events: Assist in the planning and execution of events and conferences.
  • Deliver Training: Deliver Media and PR training to clients, including at c-suite level.
  • Track Results: Track and report on PR and communication activities and results.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in public relations and communications, preferably in the tech industry.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong media relations skills, established media contacts, experience in content creation and social media management, proficiency in PR software tools, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organisational and time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
