Talent Finder Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geoarchaeologist and Paleoenvironmental Officer to join our dynamic team in Sheffield and Bakewell. This full-time role involves occasional fieldwork and flexibility for home working, offering a competitive salary of £36,620 - £42,400 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in geoarchaeology and/or paleoenvironmental reconstruction, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. They should possess proven ability in geoarchaeological mapping, sediment coring, and analysis, along with proficiency in one or more paleoenvironmental proxies. Strong project management skills, including experience in supervising teams and liaising with clients and curators, are essential.

This challenging role offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading archaeological company on a wide range of innovative and cutting-edge projects across the UK and potentially beyond. As a member of our Specialist Services Division, you will lead a small team of experts in geoarchaeology and paleoenvironmental studies, overseeing geoarchaeological mapping, sediment coring, analysis, and characterisation, including specialized techniques such as pollen analysis, botanical macrofossil analysis, and soil micromorphology.

The successful candidate will also support the Landscape Prospection Service, integrating geoarchaeological, geophysical, geochemical, and remote sensing data to assess and understand landscapes. You will manage client relationships, liaise with clients and planning archaeologists, ensure projects meet deadlines and objectives, and undertake fieldwork, including survey, sediment sampling, and associated post-excavation work.
