We are seeking highly motivated and industry-experienced HV SAPs to fill a challenging role within our team.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of travel as they cover a geographical area, requiring demonstrable working experience and technical expertise as an HV SAP (LV to HV / EHV) from within the power, utilities, and/or critical electrical infrastructure sectors.

About Our Company

Our company is responsible for constructing, maintaining, renewing, refurbishing, and repairing electricity transmission and distribution networks, assets, and systems, including substations, overhead lines, underground cables, and associated equipment such as switchgear and transformers.

Salary Package

A competitive remuneration package with an estimated annual salary of £60,000 - £80,000 is on offer, along with career progression opportunities through our in-house training academy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with site personnel on HV & LV networks, systems, and assets to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  2. Assist in testing and commissioning HV / LV distribution systems to meet company expectations and standards.
  3. Plan and coordinate projects to ensure timely delivery and manage project budgets to ensure team efficiency.
  4. Produce reports for works undertaken and maintain accurate records.
  5. Undertake site-specific risk assessments and create RAMS, ensuring you are competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents.
  6. Carry out network operations under instruction from Control Engineers.
  7. Understand local network anomalies and ensure correct phase rotation.
  8. Possess a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel regularly.
  9. Show proficiency in using industry-related software across multiple platforms.
